| First read the disclaimer from SPL: Most race suspension parts feature metal bearings to eliminate the compliance of rubber or urethane bushings, which maximizes the performance of the suspension by maintaining optimum suspension geometry. In some areas, eliminating rubber bushings can result in increased ride harshness or noise. The lack of compliance can prevent the suspension from absorbing impacts it is not designed for, such as when a wheel hits a curb. The suspension should be inspected for wear every year and after every accident. Some of these racing parts may require specialized race alignment knowledge or equipment to set correctly. -- That said, and I think it's most true in suspension parts, it is not always in your best interest to "upgrade" to solid bearings or parts designed for specialized use. The lower arms in particular are really a near track only application, and they cost nearly $650 new a pair. You can get a set of oem arms new for around half that if memory serves, and new ones for prob. less then $100 a pair. That's a world of difference when it comes to price point.
